Some people could care less about receiving traffic to their blog. Some people are weird also. I like to get traffic to Dummies Of The Year. For the most part I like organic traffic but every once in a while I like to experiment to see how I can increase my daily hits. Let me share my novice six tips with you.
Organic Traffic Tips
- If you are not trying to make money and just blog as a hobby but still want the traffic to come your way use WordPress.com. Do not use Blogger. One has more control over a Blogger blog but I did not have much traffic when I used their platform.
2. Write Good Post
- Write about things you like and at times (or all the time) ask controversial questions. People love a good debate because most everybody thinks they are right.
- Write often. 1 to 3 times a day. Don’t go hog wild though otherwise Google might see you as a splog.
SEO Traffic Tips
3. Write About Club Penguin
- Wait until there is a Club Penguin fad going on like Fiesta Party Cheats And Secrets
- Make sure you provide several links to people who are all talking about Fiesta Party Cheats And Secrets. This is really a win/win. You get traffic and send traffic to other people.
4. Use Autohits
5. Use Condron
6. Use Alpha Inventions
The last three suggestions will allow you to get a ton of traffic but I am not sure how valuable it is.
I agree completely, especially with the first tip. Blogger doesn’t really have any feature that allows you to discover any other blogs, but WordPress.com is packed with them. It makes it feel like much more of a community.
I think your success with the Club Penguin whoring has inspired me to write a satirical Club Penguin post
If you do I would search to see what is hot in the top 100 right now. Also I should mention that most of everyone I linked to were either quiet or they are quite appreciative. If they realize you are a humorist then they probably won’t mind the link and actually thank you.

I must admit to being quite an innocent in most of this, for instance, I seem to be getting quite a bit of traffic (to me anyway) without lifting a finger there. Nevertheless I will try them

Alphainventions seems ok and I just signed up to Condron, although as people visit your site for about 5 seconds unless they decide to stay there it does seem like a bit of an ‘empty’ hit as you alluded to. Thanks for the tips tho!
As long as we have something that catches their attention maybe it is productive by 3%. It makes one’s stats look neat.
Well theres almost a party or new events in Club Penguin every Friday so all the Club Penguin blogs can start hitting the BOTD list by Friday or Saturday : )

10/3/2009 37 referral sources – none from AI
116 page views = 97 pages + 19 returns
On this day, I did not submit to Alpha Inventions.
9/3/2009 161 referral sources – 129 from AI
210 page views = 202 pages + 8 returns
On this day, I submitted to Alpha Inventions I three times
I have used Alpha Inventions to drive page views in the past and find that my return visitors are steadily increasing of their own accord.
I also get flow on traffic to my other sites that are linked to my main site.

Thanks for letting me know how AI has helped you. The two days that I received a ton of traffic I had written an article about them also. I include a link in every post since then so that others can go to AI and find out more about them but the love from AI seems to not be returning.
It seems like a good system but 2000 hits a day will not happen for all the time.
