I have had many blogs in the past, I can’t even remember the actual number now. My 1st one was Windows Live Spaces, then I changed to ModBlog. They eventually shut down so I migrated to Blogger for a while where I had several different blogs. Later I discovered WP.com where I became a bit/lot on & off with bloggimg, deleting, then strarting again as my interest waxed & waned. I transferred my current blog from WP.com to WP self hosted in October I think it was last year. My current blog has been in existence including it’s WP.com existence since February 1, 2010 so am nearly up to a full year. That is the longest one of my blogs has ever lasted. My discovery of cartooning in October 2010 has led to a continued impetus to keep going as I have created a Comicpress subdomain.

Congrats on passing the 3 month mark. I too find writing to be therapeutic.

I think personal blogs that we write for ourselves last the longest.

I’m just past 3 months on my blog and at the moment still enjoy it and keep try to keep things consistent. May be due to the fact, I write for myself.
The comments and interactions are a bonus but my content are all personal. I started the blog for this purpose and hope to continue this way. I also love to write and find this therapeutic.

You have a great blog. I will get in touch when I complete my “interwebbers of interest” (blogroll) compiled.

It stinks not to get any readers. I had readers here right away but have since lost most of them. It makes me second guess what I am doing.

I am all about a blog dying if it doesn’t fulfill the blogger. Being ADD I have so many blog ideas just not enough focus to actually do them.

I think it is okay for a blog to die if it doesn’t really fulfill the blogger.

This is like my 3rd or 4th blog and I am not sure how long I am going to let it go.

I’ve been blogging since August. It is a public log of my travel experiences, so it won’t die. I intend to publish every day for the next eleven months, and when my travel programme comes to an end, it will be time to let it go. But even then, it won’t be dead because all the articles would still be there for people to read.
But I understand the point of this article. I do because I used to have another blog which I let go off for a while because I had nothing to say. Nevertheless, I still get at least five visits there every day. See?
