I just uploaded the ExtremeSEO WordPress Plugin yesterday and thought I would keep a journal on how well it performs at Dummies of the Year.

In A Nutshell What Does It Do?

The creators claim that this plugin will,

“Increase Search Engine Rankings, Increase Your Site’s Visibility, Enhance Your Visitors Experience”

What I Expect?

  • More Traffic!

Results Thus Far?

  • Day 1- I downloaded the plugin on Friday June 5, 2010 and this was toward the end of the day.  I usually get around 200-300 hits.  Today I have only received 132 hits.  Why so few?  Well I do have 4 1/2 hours to go before midnight but I think the main reason is because it is Saturday.  At this point I will blame low hits on the weekend.  Stay tuned for another update.
  • Day 2- I have Extreme Stats but I don’t have links to other sites on my individual posts.

I have accumulated over 200,000 hits.  A little secret on the success.  Write about Club Penguin and Glenn Beck!  Glenn Beck has over 12,000 hits on one post.  Club Penguin probably has over 50,000.

Just this week I have included a new series entitled Famous Interviews.  They are interviews done via Cleverbot.  Check it out.

I plan on writing at least 7 posts a week if time is allowed.

I have been to several of your sites and left comments but they don’t show.  Check to see if I am in spam.

In 2010 I am going to attempt to delete all Hot Linked photos.  This is a big no no in the blogging world.

There has been a take over at Gryphon’s Aerie. Don’t worry about your blog being taken over though. It appears that Gryph trusted the Doc and gave him administrative access to his site. Part of me feels sorry for Gryph but he should have known better than to give that kind of access to a crazy overlord!

Gryph is one of the only true bipartisan bloggers out there.  His blogroll is filled with blogs from both sides of the aisle.  If you are looking for somebody who will take an active interest in your blog then Gryph is your man.

Gryph has not put this on his blog (I think) but this is how I would describe him:

The other blog I have put my heart and soul into.  I almost have 10,000 hits which is fairly normal for as long as the blog has been on.  This blog is just my “I am not going to try very hard blog.”  Well I haven’t and this blog has had on average more hits than my first love.  Why have I had more hits on this site?  Well I will give you three tips.

1. Write a post that is really catchy in the headlines.  My example is I jumped on the bandwagon of Sarah Palin and the bikini incedent.  I claimed that I had pictures of Sarah Palin in a Bikini.  Well if you want to see this post then go here: Sarah Palin in a Bikini

2. I did a follow up post to Sarah Palin in a Bikini called Senator Clinton in a bikini.  Don’t ask me why but I have received quite a few hits on this post.  Who in their right mind wants to see Senator Clinton in a bikini…well if you are not in your right mind then you can go here: Senator Clinton in a bikini

3.
