When going through the WordPress Blogs of the Day I notice that Atheist sites tend to show up more than Christian sites. Why is this? Seriously I don’t have a clue. Maybe it is the cool avatars they both have? A cartoon picture of, is that one of the characters off of Heros and I think the other is supposed to be of a guy who lives on one of those Islands where they get dark, deep tans… much unlike Kennedy’s Island.

I guess you also believe the earth is flat. Don’t you know that science has discovered how we came to be here? It’s called evolution. Check it out sometime.

I did give them face time but it wasn’t to promote them. I don’t agree with their blogs agenda at all.

I might switch it to the front page, but not at the moment. It is 2:21am where I live and I am getting tired.
It’s because christians have oppressed atheists for 2000 years, and we finally can speak out without getting our heads chopped off or being burned alive. In spite of this, christians are still trying hard to dominate public policy, and atheists are still discriminated against. I have been badly hurt by christianity, and it took a careful study of the bible to realize that it wasn’t about truth, love, or even about god. It’s about legitimizing violence and power – god would kill anyone who didn’t agree with him. Now we do it (ie Iraq). Atheists are trying to be the voice of reason amid the craziness of christian fundamentalists.
I am sorry that you were hurt by somebodies brand of Christianity. It is about Truth, Love and the center is absolutely God.
You are in the same class as some of those Christians who tormented people. You are in the same class because you have brought your preconceived notions to the text of scripture. You have been hurt so you brought “I have been hurt by God set of lenses” to the text. The ones who tormented people for 2000 years have brought there “I want power set of lenses” to the text of scripture.
