Charles Gibson Kicks The Anchor Bucket

Diana Sawyer ABC News Anchor

ABC reported today that Charles Gibson will not be reporting for duty in 2010.  He has decided to retire after 40 years.  His replacement will be Diane Sawyer.  Sawyer probably deserves the spot but my question is should she take it?  Gibson is only two years older than Sawyer.  In two years they might be finding her replacement.

Should ABC News find an anchor that could sit in the top anchor seat for around 20 years instead of 2?
