Feedburner Subscriptions

feedburner-flameGryph Is On *Fire!

Recently Gryph and I spent quite a bit of time getting him set up on Feedburner.  From what I have researched Feedburner basically does two things.  First it helps notify several different places, including Google, that you have just written a post.  And the second thing it lets one do is add cool looking buttons to their blog so that other people can subscribe to the content.  So Gryph I hope you get some subscribers and many hits soon.

Are You A Hobo Or A Comrade?

So which are you?  Let Gryph’s comrades gather round and give him a boost.  You may already be a frequent visitor to Gryphon’s Aerie but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t subscribe to him.  What are your options?

1. Click the FeedCounter

  • Once you click the FeedCounter you have an array of options to choose from in how you want to subscribe.

2. Subscribe By Google Reader

  • If Google is your preferred choice of subscribing then just click this instead of the FeedCounter, either way Gryph’s count number will go up.

Oh wow . . .

Sorry it took me so long to get in here Tater. I really appreciate all the help you gave me setting up feedburner.

To change the gravatar go to your wordpress dashboard, then scroll down to settings, and click general. Once in their you will see that you have the option to change your wordpress gravatar to a your liking.

Buddy, are you aware that you can get rid of the WordPress W logo in your addressbar and replace it with your own logo? I ask this because you went to the trouble of making your own domain, so I thought maybe you would want your own free logo (gravatar) in the address bar.

Sure is. When you go to feedburner and do all the stuff you have to do to optimize and publicize your blog there is a place to analyze to see how many people are subscribing, and in which ways. (like google reader, yahoo reader, etc.)

is there a way to see how many people subscribe? I'm up to 2...me and my mom

Why do you ask? What's on your mind?

I think it is. It offers different ways to subscribe and it offers different ways to get the word out about one's blog.

Thanks for the statcounter idea... I think I have used them on a different blog, there theme color is green right?

http://www.statcounter.com/ is pretty good for general blog analysis and stats. It's fun to see the pins in the Google Map showing where all your visitors come from. Apparently I'm quite popular in Indonesia and Malaysia... !?

and the plug too . . . :)
