Five Things Christians Should Know Before Talking To Atheists

1. There are Atheists, Christians and people from all walks of life who are good people but

• all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God -Romans 3:23

2. Atheists do not want to be prayed for but

• I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone -1 Timothy 2:1

3. God loves Atheists.  Atheists don’t believe in God.  This does not make His love any less real because

• The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. – 2nd Peter 3:9

4. Atheists believe that they will not be present on the day of judgment but

• God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:9-11

5. Atheists do not like to be quoted Bible Verses but

• that’s okay because, though this post used several scripture text, this post up to this point has been for Christians.

My Bottom Line For Atheists

I do not speak for all Christians but here is my take on this situation called life:  I am a mere human who has been given the gift of life.  I sometimes waste this gift by too much blogging.  More importantly, I think that I have fallen short and need a Savior.  I do not have all the answers to this life because if I did, well I wouldn’t need a Savior.   Can I prove that there is a God?  No and that is why it is called faith.  If you choose not to believe in God, or you don’t think that you need Him, then that is your choice.  God really is pro-choice in this matter.  How will I respond to a person like you?  Like you are a person.  Your beliefs or non-beliefs should not decide how other humans will treat you.  We all breath the same air and occupy the same earth.  I do not hold your beliefs against you.  Now can we get back to some less serious posts?
