Google is at it again. Remember Google Buzz and Google Dud (they had something else but I can’t remember what it was, so I’ll just call it dud)?
Now Google is trying something new. Their plan is to Fart on Facebook with the Google+ Project! I don’t usually use the word fart but the good phrases like Google+ Project | Will it Kill Facebook and Google+ Project | Will it Murder Facebook were already taken by millions of bloggers.
The Google+ Project was started so that you can connect with people you really want to connect with, because on Facebook you are just wasting your time with a bunch of people you don’t really care about.
Google+ Project was also started because Google is desperate to catch up with Facebook in popularity. Google really hopes to make it possible for you to have two accounts open simultaneously so that you can waste your life away at double the speed!
Family is Important
We all know that family is important and with Facebook it is impossible to keep up with family. This isn’t the case with Google+ Project. With the Google+ Project you can keep up with family (this isn’t actually true but the videos below would have you believe this).
Actually maybe the people you really want to connect with is friends and not your miserable family. If that sounds like you then just keep up-to-date with your family on Facebook and don’t mention that you have a Google+ account.
Will you abandon your Facebook account for the new Google+, will you have an account in each or will just stick with Facebook?
Please add this to at the beginning of your comment “Google+” so I can shamefully try to rank for it in Google.

Google+, eh?!
Wonderful. Something else I won’t be able to keep up with. When does Google out-of-date-guy come out? Looks like a few good ideas, though. Although I don’t think Facebook is in too scared just yet. I have a hunch these might wind up being ‘adapted’ at some point…
Google+
Google does look like they have good ideas but yeah, can’t Google just copy them and make everything simpler?
Thank you for doing the Google+ at the beginning.
Google +
You’re Google +, Mel. Or welcome. Whichever sounds best.
Google +
Your Google+ has a space between Google and +. Oh well, Google + will work also
Google+
I don’t like FB much. I appreciate it’s value in enabling families to keep in touch with one another (No 2 son moved to Amsterdam at the end of May. If I didn’t read his FB posts I’d never know what the bugger was up to), but generally I tend to IGNORE friend requests from other than a couple of family members.
The use and exploitation of my personal details by facebook also concerns me as does the bombardment of information about ‘friends’ doings. I have to work real hard to avoid getting overwhelmed by information and game requests
From the little I’ve heard about Google+ I think I might find it more to my liking than FB, but I am in no rush to try it out – I’ll wait until all the bugs and wrinkles have been ironed out first
Google+
I think the friend request option is guilt producing. I always feel a little bit guilty when I don’t except somebody.
I think Google Search will also give out some personal detail. It works as the world’s telephone/address book.
Google+ will need to be ironed, that’s for sure!
I have twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, digg, reddit accounts and now google+. All promised me tons of followers for my website and none of them has delivered.
Google+
I follow your website without all social media stuff. I think I found out about you because you left a comment here and then I clicked on your Gravatar. Being personal always works better.
Unless you’re too personal and start clicking where it’s not appreciated.
Google+
I try not to click on Bearman’s special area if that is what you are talking about.
Seriously Binky, maybe we need to get you signed up for human etiquette classes.
I wasn’t the one inappropriately clicking other people’s gravatars!
Google+ It sounds more like some wacky phone plan than something I wanna incorporate into my already-burgeoning schedule. I’ll probably just stick with Facebook for the time being. Or either I’ll try to go back and raise MySpace from the dead.
Google+
I think you just want to lay hands on MySpace. Well, not my space, your space…
OurSpace, Mel. I’m not too greedy.
Google+
I can barely bother with Facebook & only use it to advertise my wordpress site. Do we trust the big G with our personal info more than FB. I don’t trust FB which is why I give them none of my info.
Google+
About as personal as I get is giving away my likes of books and movies. I never give previous employers and the such.
Google and Facebook with our personal info would probably amount to the same.
Google+
I just prefer blogs. Leave a comment & hopefully the blog owner will repay the visit
T.M. Comics+
T.M. Comics+ woops, I mean Google+
I like this method also. I think that Google+, Facebook and Twitter work really well with bringing in traffic for certain types of bloggers. Not this blogger though, I haven’t received much traffic in that way.
I only get the odd one or 2 hits a day from FB, Rarely any from Twitter. I found the best one for visitors is Reddit followed by Stumble Upon. Somedays I get over 100 visitors just from Reddit.
Maybe if it’s Google + Cheese I will sign up???
I’m sure if you ask Google they will consider it.
Really? I asked for wine gums and they ignored me.
Google+
Those bastards!
Winegums +
What sort of Scumbags would deny a cute Wombie winegums???
