A Cigarette Of A Different Color Is Still A Cigarette
The FDA now has power to regulate tobacco but does it really matter? What does it mean that they have power and can now regulate tobacco? Actually they are going to implement some dumb strategies. For some reason they think that children start smoking because of colorful advertisements. Instead of colorful ads the cigarette company now has to have plain old black and white ads. Kids don’t start smoking because of blue, red and green. They start smoking because of wanting to be cool or peer pressure.
Your Thoughts
Is it a good thing that the FDA now has more control over tobacco? Is it dumb to push for black and white ads as opposed to color ads?
