I just found out that the town I lived in last year (Joplin, MO) was hit hard by a tornado yesterday. The apartment I lived in is gone. I am going to take a few days off guys. My humor bone is a little broken this week.
Prayers go out to Joplin families!!

I heard on the news last night about the tornados. They said at least 30 people were killed. Such terrible news.

The parent company of my former employer is in Joplin’s Webb City suburb. I visited there once and found them to be wonderful people. My heart goes out to all those affected.

Thanks for all of the comments guys! It was a hard day for my wife and I. We moved to Europe May of 2010 but lived in the exact location for 4 years where the tornado hit.
I lived in Joplin for most of my 20′s. Almost all of our friends are accounted for.
This is one thing I always hated about living in OK/MO region. Nice states but really horrible weather!
We, of course, are still concerned for our old neighbors. Praying and taking a break this week (plus this is the busiest week of the year for us but that’s life right?).
