New Theme: Vigilance And Its Bugs
Vigilance Almost Looks Good
I don’t run and switch my theme every time WordPress comes out with a new one but I thought I would give the new theme Vigilance a try. I love the fact that they are finally giving us choices of what we want the theme colors to be without purchasing the CSS upgrade. I only have one small problem. Looking over at the sidebar you will see that I currently have two columns. One stretchy column looked alright but I would really love to condense with the two columns. So what’s the problem? Text from the left sidebar are running into the right sidebar and text from the right sidebar are falling off the page. I hope this is just a temporary glitch otherwise I will have to switch to the one stretchy sidebar or go back to my Journalists theme.
UPDATE – Why is the load time taking so long?
UPDATE – I have to say that after a few months of using Vigilance I am happy with it. There are no bugs from what I can tell.
Your Thoughts
What do you think of the new theme Vigilance?
I too, as you now have opted to test drive the vigilance theme. I like the clean look and some of the other features. I have noticed though that H1 and other font sizes don't--"size" that is. They come out bold but no increase in point size. I haven't tried the two columns option yet.
Hope the code i sent you works for you. It should. If you look up on the sidebar where it says Dummies of the Year I had to change that font size with the code. It was so tiny that I couldn't hardly read it.
Also I decided to reply to your comment instead of starting a new one. I did this by clicking reply which is found to the right under your comment.
I am glad they finally added threaded comments.
It's a nice new theme, and I agree with how cool the new customization options are. All we need now is AdSense, and it will be better than self-hosted WordPress.
I think I heard that there may eventually be a purchasable upgrade where we can pay an annul fee to have adds. I won't pay to have adds but if it was free I would do it.

Basically I just don't think they test new themes with all available widgets. It's usually the Recent Comments one that causes most trouble, being a table-ridden mess. (Sorry Automattic, but inline styling with html has no place in the modern world.)
Hopefully threaded discussion is a cool addon. With the theme I will have to go back to one column I think.

That was weird. Didn't mean to do that last comment. I should go back to sleep.
