It wasn’t a cheesy, artificial prayer. It was heart felt and authentic. He believes in God and JESUS is his savior. For him to offer the prayer up in Jesus name was the crowning moment and the proof that he wasn’t just there to please the crowd. Good job Rick. Thank you for being authentic and thank you for not neglecting your savior.

Yeah. If you read my post on rhetoric then you saw that I missed Obama's speech, but I caught Warren's benediction. I haven't heard the Inaugural Address yet but I was reminded of what Lincoln did following the two hour oration by Edward Everett at the Dedication of the Gettysburg Cemetery.
Everett spoke for two HOURS and Lincoln followed with two MINUTES. Now, like I said, I haven't heard the innaugural and it may be a little unfair to compare what a Benediction said as compared to the actual Address. But Warren's followup would be hard to beat.
