Right after I voted ‘No’ I realized my wife will probably make me watch this at least once when it comes out on DVD. I guess that makes your results a bit flawed. Sorry, Mel. Axio Ixney Re-voteo! (Is that even close to… anything?!)
Did you happen to see Lord of the Rings and all of its witchcraft?

Love LOTR, read lots of fantasy over the years, am a HUGE fan of Stephen Donaldson and his Thomas Covenant series. So will I see Potter?
I’ve caught a few minutes of the first two movies in the series, and I’ll just say this.
The only Potter for me is an old Army colonel running a field hospital with a couple wacky surgeons.
Or the guy I hope rents the house next door to me. He seems to be quite the … indoor gardener, with a fondness for plants with 5 leaves. If you get my drift!
I think the cut off age for Harry Potter viewers is early 30?s and that might be stretching it.
I think the story is a great one.
I bet you wished you would have come up with the billion dollar Harry Potter idea… I actually don’t think I could have handled it.
5 leaves took me about 5 minutes to get. Golly I’m slow tonight

Oh heck yes, I would’ve LOVED to write that. Silly me, I just keep puttering on a sci-fi universe I came up with over 30 years ago. Unfortunately, as a lover of “hard” sci-fi (more technology than human interest), I don’t think there’s a chance in heck of it ever seeing the light of day. But who knows?
And that could be my problem – I’m just too old a fart to “get” Hogwarts.
Sorry about the “5 leaves” thing, I was trying to be cute playing off of POT-ter. The problem with shotgun humour – you put a lot of stuff in the air to assure a hit, but you also increase the number of misses and duds!
I have read all of the books and I have seen all of the movies, so it’s only proper that I finish it all off. I wish Rowlings would continue to write more stories even if they didn’t focus on Harry.
I read that somewhere in an interview with a renowned Hollywood writer.
He said that in non-fiction, whatever happens is whatever happens whether it makes sense or not.
But in fiction, the audience expects a logical resolution and own’t settle for anything less. Weird world, huh?

Ye gods, I’m a “top commenter”? Boy, this site has REALLY low standards. Or else it’s insinuating something about my .. um … “relationship” preferences. (Let’s see if you get THAT one!)
Yeah, if you become a top commenter by the end of the week I don’t know what to do with you. Would there be a link to something you do because sir, you are quite linkless.

Curses! My secret identity has been revealed! You’ve found out that I am …. (cue dramatic music)
The Missing Link! (Rimshot!)
Actually, my real name is Robert Osborne. My friends call me Bob O. Link. (Rimshot!)
OK, enough bad puns. I’ll save you the weakest link, chain link, and other hideous shots. In as much seriousness I can muster, you are yet another in a growing collection of people requesting a blog (or something) out of me. I may just have to oblige the blogosphere gods one of these days. (Though I still can’t figure out why ANYONE in their right mind would want to hear what I have to say. Or perhaps that’s the explanation – I’ve tapped a vein of people, like me, who AREN’T in their right mind! )
I listened to the audio tapes of The Hobbit and TLOTR and abhorred them both. I haven’t gotten the nerve to watch the movie versions yet. I have nothing against the series, it’s just not for me. I can’t seem to accept elves and trolls and whatnot.
I think that is blasphemy to say such things. Praying for you

Just remember – reality is a crutch for people who can’t handle science fiction (or fantasy – take your pick!).
Besides, if you need a reference for trolls, tune in C-Span. There’s 535 of them in DC right now – I think they’re called Congress.
I will be going to see but I hope not in 3D. Why ruin the movie while making me completly broke?
Right after I voted ‘No’ I realized my wife will probably make me watch this at least once when it comes out on DVD. I guess that makes your results a bit flawed. Sorry, Mel. Axio Ixney Re-voteo! (Is that even close to… anything?!)
Voting twice is encouraged
I have no idea what you said at the end. Was the Spanish or Latin?
Hahaha… I have no clue.
Just demonstrating my Lack-o-Potter knowledge.
Lack-o-Potter, sounds Irish.
Absolutely not.
Are you absolutely sure?
I will absolutely see it. And yes, my kids wish he was real.
I wish I would have wrote the books! Rowling is the first Billionaire novelist! :-O
Yes but first I have to remember if I saw part one
Part one is where they aren’t in school for the first time… I think.
Are you going to pay me to see it?
Nope. I am looking for loose change just so I can go see it.
Witchcraft & all that sort of stuff? No thanks, I’ll give it a big miss…

No, the 5 leaves thing was fine. I was just slow in getting it. Scholars don’t always have fast brains.
I have read all of the books and I have seen all of the movies, so it’s only proper that I finish it all off. I wish Rowlings would continue to write more stories even if they didn’t focus on Harry.
I haven’t read the books yet. I love to read and I would love to read fiction but my brain fights me. Those non-fiction books are just so much easier.
Well, fiction is just like non-fiction except it has to make sense.
Ooooh
I read that somewhere in an interview with a renowned Hollywood writer.

Ladies and Gentlemen John is here all week long.
Slight typo, Mel. I think the word you’re looking for is “weak”, not “week”. You are right with the last word, though – it will seem like a LONG time.
Not only am I going to watch it… I am going to OWN it… but for the love of everything green, don’t make me watch the hobbit…those movies SUCK!
I am a fan of both LOTR’s and Harry Potter. I do feel that the story is easier to follow in Harry Potter.
I listened to the audio tapes of The Hobbit and TLOTR and abhorred them both. I haven’t gotten the nerve to watch the movie versions yet. I have nothing against the series, it’s just not for me. I can’t seem to accept elves and trolls and whatnot.
