WordPress Blog Of The Day Confusion

Redheaded Stepchild WordPress Blog Of The Day Confusion I feel like a red-headed step child. The secret formula to the WordPress Blogs of the Day baffles me. I am not even on the WordPress Growing Blogs. Why do I think I deserve a chance? The last two days I racked up 6,154 hits. Most of those were on a single post. This is only half of the equation. There are posts that make it to the Top Blogs that don’t deserve it. The reason they don’t deserve it is because they started their blog 5 days ago and their post are kind of stinky. Some of you out there should make it but I never see your blog there either.

I conclude that the amount of traffic one receives at their WordPress.com blog has nothing to do, or at least very little to do, with whether or not one makes it to the WordPress.com spotlight.

My Thoughts And Yours

Why doesn’t WordPress reveal their special formula to getting on the Blogs of the Day? If we knew it wouldn’t this make us better bloggers? Your thoughts?

I haven't heard anything of the porn. That would be a shock.

Despite Kurt's age he is still a really good football player. It's funny that we call him old because he is only 37 but in the NFL that is getting up there.

I'd keep up the good work on getting hits but to be honest i am not quite sure what I am doing right. I guess I will just keeping repeating what it is I have done.

To exciting and a little disappointing. I really wanted the Cardinals to pull it off. How great would that have been for the worst playoff team to win it all with a grandpa quarterback? By the way Kurt Warner the QB is 37.

It blew me away.

Maybe you are right but sometimes I see blogs that make it and all they have is a cricket chirping when I arrive and a tumbleweed blowing by.

The good post was about the Super Bowl and because this was the case I wanted to Capitalize on it because tomorrow it will be old news. Maybe I should have socialized on it instead... I knew capitalism wasn't going to pay off ;)

Hey, over 6,000 hits hits in 2 days is an amazing achievement, whether Wordpress gives your props you deserve or not... actually, it's even more impressive considering it wasn't a post in the 'member's spotlight' section or whatever. Keep up the good work!

On the Superbowl, I have v little knowledge of the NFL and American football but I love the series 'America's Game'! It's so well produced and atmospheric, I really enjoy even though I'm not into American Football, which is quite an achievement! I watched one of the shows of the Rams winning the Superbowl in 1999 or so. At that time Kurt Warner was at his peak but had there was a big fuss about him turning up out of the blue. Then I checked out a preview of the Superbowl and there he is playing in the final again! I had no idea he was that old, but it's cool he's managed to stay in the game I guess. Was the game any good yesterday? What's this I hear about viewers in Arizona having their cable feed switch over to a porno in the middle of the game?!
