For every project that you are working on, you can split it to smaller stages and parts. For most goals, it is natural to categorize the process of accomplishing them into small milestones and tasks. There are several good reasons for doing this and among them is by monitoring your progress.

Getting Things Done

We are automatically monitoring our progress with majority of the activities being done. But in order to stay motivated, it is imperative to acknowledge your progress aside from just monitoring it. So here is how recognizing and monitoring your progress becomes different.

Tracking and Recognizing

This is only taking notes of what you have reached for a particular stage in the entire project.

Recognizing on the other hand is taking the time to look at the bigger picture and realizing where you currently are and how much work is still left to accomplish it.

This is applicable in many different scenarios and works effectively in staying on the right lane.
