Seems to be that taking candid shots of your children is easy, right? But in reality, it is harder than it looks. You want to make it as natural as possible, yes. However, there are certain aspects that you have to be aware of to ensure that you are able to get the perfect shot.

Here’s what you can do.

Set Your Distance

There are instances in which the best candid shots have to be taken from afar. The moment when your kids become aware of what you are doing, it is going to ruin that moment.

With this in mind, it is wise to have a camera with a zoom lens. Such lens allows you to take shots without being noticed or seen and still get top-quality shots.

Group Plan

When shooting your kid with group of friends, try looking for a subject that can be used as the focal point. Then, the waiting game; wait until such time your kid share the common point of focus. When that comes, be sure to be ready in capturing that moment in your lens.
